origin of names.

Dara \d(a)-
ra\ is pronounced DAR-ah. It is of Hebrew origin, and the meaning of Dara is “nugget of wisdom”. Biblical: the name of a descendant of Judah noted for his wisdom. Also, Dara and Darra are Gaelic names meaning “oak tree”.

wow. I’m a “nugget of wisdom.” aha sounds adorable~ no?

not too sure about being an “oak tree” though… maybe I’m as strong as an oak tree? or no… I’m as tall as one… ㅡ,.ㅡ  nvm…

Sandra \s(a)-nd-

ra, san-dra\ is pronounced SAN-drah, SAHN-drah. It is of English origin. Short form of Alexandra(Greek) “man’s defender” via Alessandra (Italian)

what man?! maybe the people in general… i’ll be the defender of God’s people. heehee <3

혜민  | hae - min
은혜 “혜” (of grace)
백성 “민”  (of people)

to be a person of grace to all people.

After defining all of these names given from family and friends, I wonder what my name should be given from God… what name would He give me, if our names defined who we are and how we live.
